“Time flies. It’s up to you to be the navigator.”
The latest change is important if you integrated Oracle Single Sign-On 10g with your E-Business Suite 11i environment.
Until now any upgrade to Oracle Access Manager (which replaces the Oracle SSO 10g) forced you to upgrade to EBS 12.X (most IT manger – turn red in this point…) .in addition there was a short time line to perform the upgrade.
Now Oracle gave you an option to perform a multi-phase implementation. You can start upgrading your EBS 11i environment from Oracle SSO 10g to Oracle Access Manager 11.1.2 this year and from EBS 11i to EBS 12.1.3 in a later downtime.
But be sure you’re not delaying to far : Support for Oracle Single Sign-On 10g has been extended to Dec. 31, 2013. And EBS 11.5.10’s Exception to Sustaining Support has been extended to Dec. 31, 2014.
The new time line in general:
- Until the end of 2013 you can stay with EBS 11i + Oracle Single Sign-On 10.1.4.3
- You will then move to : EBS 11i + Oracle Access Manager 11.1.2
- 3. In until 2014 you can start the upgrade to EBS 12.1.3
